Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Taskfit is built to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have.

In short

  • You can use Taskfit without an account. Your tasks then stay only on your device.
  • If you create an account, your tasks and focus history are stored in the cloud so they sync across your devices.
  • Usage metrics never include the titles or descriptions of your tasks, and you can turn them off in Settings.
  • No ads, no advertising ID, no tracking across other apps, and we never sell your data.
  • You can export your data and delete your account at any time, inside the app.

Who is responsible

Taskfit is developed and operated by Lucas Scuissiatto, an individual based in Brazil, who is the data controller for the processing described here. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to Lucas Scuissiatto.

For any question or request about your data, write to support@taskfit.app.

What data we handle and why

Data stored only on your device

Tasks, routines, categories, focus sessions and your preferences (theme, language, default durations, notification and analytics choices) are saved in a local database on your iPhone. If you don’t create an account, this data never leaves your device, and we have no access to it.

Account and sync (optional)

If you choose to create an account, we process:

  • Account data: your email address and password. The password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider. We never see it.
  • Synced content: your tasks and routines (titles, descriptions, estimates, priorities, deadlines, categories), focus sessions (start, end and pause times) and shared preferences (theme, language and durations).

We use this data only to provide sign-in, keep your devices in sync, and restore your data on a new device. It is necessary to perform the service you asked for.

Usage metrics

To understand which features help and where the app can improve, Taskfit uses Google Firebase Analytics. It records events such as screens opened, a task being created (with its estimated minutes and priority), a focus session starting or ending (with planned and focused minutes) and a recommendation being shown. Firebase also collects technical information such as app version, device model, iOS version, approximate country or region, and an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase.

Usage metrics never include task titles, descriptions, category names, your email or your account ID. Taskfit does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

This collection is based on our legitimate interest in improving the app. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data. When you do, pending events are discarded and nothing is sent while the option is off.

Feedback you send

If you use Settings → Help and suggestions, we receive the type of message (suggestion, problem or praise), the text you write, the email address you choose to provide (optional), the app version, platform and language, and your account ID if you are signed in. We use this only to read, answer and act on your feedback.

Support emails

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use them only to help you.

Notifications and Live Activities

Focus reminders and the Lock Screen timer are created on your device. They do not require any server and do not send data to us.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t show ads or share data with advertisers.
  • We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal data.
  • We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • We don’t use your tasks to profile you or to train AI models.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit its use to providing their service:

ProviderPurposeData involved
Supabase, Inc.Authentication, cloud database and syncAccount data, synced content, feedback
Google LLC (Firebase)Usage metricsUsage events and technical device information
Cloudflare, Inc.Hosting this website and forwarding support emailWebsite access logs, support emails
Apple Inc.App distribution through the App StoreHandled under Apple’s own privacy policy

These providers may store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. When that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by law, such as standard contractual clauses offered by these providers.

How long we keep data

  • Data on your device: until you delete it in the app or uninstall Taskfit.
  • Account and synced content: while your account exists. When you delete your account, it and all its cloud data are deleted immediately. Copies may remain in our provider’s encrypted backups for a short period until they are overwritten.
  • Usage metrics: kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Feedback and support emails: for as long as needed to handle your message, and deleted on request.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, laws such as Brazil’s LGPD and the EU and UK GDPR give you the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your data and access it;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data or your account;
  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest, such as usage metrics;
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on it;
  • file a complaint with your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).

Many of these you can do directly in the app:

  • Export your data: Settings → Export my data.
  • Delete your account and all cloud data: Settings → Account & cloud → Delete account.
  • Turn off usage metrics: Settings → Share anonymous usage data.

For anything else, email support@taskfit.app. We answer within 15 days.

Security

Data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). In the cloud database, access rules ensure that each account can read and change only its own data. Passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit what we collect.

Children

Taskfit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the app before they take effect.
